Ignoct Gift Exchange
June 1 - August 18, 2024
Come celebrate our beloved King and his loyal advisor this summer with all new ignoct creations!The Ignoct Gift Exchange is a secret santa style event where participants exchange fan fiction, digital or traditional art.Participants will have ~7 weeks to create a gift for their assigned recipient and everyone will keep the name of their recipient a secret until posting begins!Follow the Ignoct Gift Exchange on Twitter for updates and announcements.

Gift Requirements
| Fan Fiction | 1000 words minimum. Multi Chapter fics must be posted in their entirety by the end of the posting period |
| Art | A complete, high quality piece of artwork. I understand this may be different for everyone, do your best! Recommended canvas size for illustration: 4in x 6in. If your computer/device can't accommodate these specifications, please use the best you can manage! Traditional media should be shared via a high-quality scan or photograph. |
Artists: If your gift contains any of the listed content, consider posting your image as an SFW preview with an outside link to the full version. You may use a site such as Privatter, popiku or GoogleDrive to post the full image (any host site is OK!).
Rules & Guidelines
Participants must be at least 18 years old to sign up
Gifts may be fan fiction, digital or traditional art
Do not reveal who you are creating for until the posting period begins
All gifts must be new works created for the event and must be 100% complete by the end of the posting period
All works should be appropriately tagged and rated
Participants may not choose their gift format. Please make sure your request is appropriate for both fan fiction and art!
Respect your recipient's requests. Do not include any themes that your recipient has stated they are not comfortable with
NSFW/Explicit works are permitted in this event if your recipient requests it
All gift exchange submissions must be centered around Ignis x Noctis (Noctis x Ignis)! Past relationships, crushes etc. are OK as long as the main/endgame ship is Ignoct! If the side ship is not included in your recipients preferences, respect their wishes and do not include it in your gift.
There will be a space in the sign up form for participants to list their acceptable side ships.
Content
NSFW is permitted for those who request it. There are no content restrictions as long as your work is tagged appropriately.You must tag non-con, graphic violence, underage and major character death.Additional tags at creator's discretion.

Frequently Asked Questions
I made a mistake / want to add something to my sign up form.
Feel free to edit your sign up form until June 15. There should be a link to do so in your sign up confirmation email. If you are unable to edit your form, please contact me on the event accounts to make changes.
How are participants matched?
Assignments are randomly determined via number generator. They will be edited in the case of conflicting content preferences.
For example, if a person who requests an angst themed gift is matched with a person who has specified that they are not comfortable with creating angst, their matches may be altered.
How much time do we have to create?
Participants have about 8 weeks to work! Extensions may be available.
Can I choose whether to receive fan fiction or art?
Participants may not choose their gift format. Please make sure your request is appropriate for both fan fiction and art!
Will I actually receive a gift?
Every participant will receive a gift! Dropped assignments are reassigned to a pinch-hitter as soon as possible. Depending on the timing, they may receive an extension to work. You will be contacted directly in the event of a delay. (I’m pleased to report that my gift exchanges always have an enthusiastic team of pinch-hitters who work hard to fulfill all requests!)
Are side pairings/other FFXV ships permitted?

What if I drop out?
Participants may drop out of the event by notifying the moderator. Please let me know instead of ghosting—there will be no questions asked. Those who do not make contact regarding an extension or drop and do not fulfill their gift may be barred from future events hosted by the Ignoct Gift Exchange and associated accounts.
Can I create more than one gift?
Each participant will receive one assignment. If you’re interested in creating an additional gift, I encourage you to volunteer as a pinch-hitter!
I have a question for my recipient, should I contact them myself?
If you need to contact your recipient for any reason, please contact the moderator on Twitter or email. I will facilitate any questions / important updates to maintain anonymity before the posting period!
What is a pinch-hitter?
A pinch-hitter is a person who steps in to make a gift in the event of a drop out. If you would like to volunteer to be a pinch-hitter, please check the appropriate box in the sign up form! Pinch-hit creators may receive an extension past the posting date to complete their gift.
Do I need an AO3 account to participate?
You do not! If you would like to post your gift on AO3 and do not have an account, please contact the moderator.
